LG Google Nexus 5 launched, Will cost 28,999 in India

Google launched its new Mobile OS Android 4.4 KitKat and also the most awaited new LG Nexus 5 smartphone. It is already showing up on Google Play Store in India with the 16 and 32 GB versions of the smartphone and is labeled as ‘coming soon’. The 16 GB version is priced Rs 28,999 while the 32GB is priced Rs 32,999. Nexus 5 has a 4.95-inch screen with 1920×1080 display which is at 445 pixels per inch. It will come in 2 colors, black and white.


The front facing camera is 1.3 megapixel, while the rear camera is 8 megapixels with Optical Image Stabilization. It has a 2,300 mAH battery with talk time up to 17 hours and Internet time up to 8.5 hours on Wi-Fi, up to 7 hours on LTE. Nexus 5 also supports wireless charging. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core chipset clocked at 2.3GHz and Adreno 330 clocked at 450MHz for Graphic with a 2 GB RAM. Nexus 5 also supports the newer Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4G/5G) 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, comes with NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 (Low energy version). The device has a Micro USB port, and list of sensors includes Accelerometer, GPS, Compass, Proximity/Ambient Light, Gyroscope. It supports 2g, 3G and 4G LTE.

The dimensions of the phone are 69.17mm x 8.59mm x 137.84mm and it weighs 130 gms


Google has introduced some new settings such as HDR+ mode, 360 degree shot in the camera. HDR+ will take a burst of pictures in one shot and combine them to give you the best possible picture under the light settings. The Optical Image stabilization also ensures that even if your hands are shaking a bit, the image won’t be blurry. Photosphere will let you take a full 360 degree picture now, which does look pretty cool. In short, the Nexus 5 hasn’t really came out as a completely different device as its rumored specs. It has lived up to what all the rumor mills were reporting. On a positive note, Google is launching the phone in India soon and at a great price.
